Dragon Wing Pink Begonia

The name comes from the shape of the leaf, which is pointed at the end and wing-shaped. A single plant will completely overflow a container and this variety is very heat tolerant. Height will reach 15 inches but the plant will spread substantially more than that. Covered with an abundance of pink blooms with a rose reverse. A spectacular display all summer, then easily overwintered.

Germination Temperature:Optimum soil temperatures 70-80ºF

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on the surface and press into soil, seeds need light to germinate

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 12-16 weeks before the last frost. Provide 70-80ºF soil temperatures until germination. Transplant after the last frost, 12-15” apart

Sowing Outdoors: Direct sowing is not recommended

Care: Water seedlings regularly until established. Amend soil with compost before transplanting.Apply a liquid fertilizer every 3-4 weeks or use a time-release fertilizer at planting time. Deadhead to encourage more flower production. Cut back plants at the end of the season and bring inside for a houseplant.
