Triple Curled Parsley

Petroselinum crispum

Used as a garnish or like other greens. Very high in nutritional value with a long history of medicinal uses. Parsley is a biennial but is usually grown as an annual for the foliage. Slow to germinate; soak in warm water overnight before sowing.             300 seeds

 

Planting

Biennial 

Germination:  7-21 days

Seed Planting Depth: 1/4" deep, soaking seeds overnight aids germination

Starting Indoors/Outdoors:  Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Provide 70-75 degree soil temperatures. Transplant 12-15" apart. Sow outdoors in spring after last frost. Sow a few seeds every 4-6 ", thin to 12-15" apart. 

Light Needs:  Sun

Soil Needs:Average to fertile, moist

Uses:Medicinal, culinary, attracts bees and benefical
