Bishop's Flower

A relative to Queen Anne's Lace is also known as White Lace Flower. Long used by florists as a substitute for Queen Anne's Lace. The plants are 2 1/2'-3 feet tall carrying double umbels of tiny white flowers that are more open than their relative. Self-seeds once established.

Germination Temperature:Optimum soil temperatures 55-65ºF

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on the surface and lightly cover

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Provide 55-65ºF soil temperature.Using peat, cow, or paper pots can help with the stress of transplanting, they grow delicate roots and successful transplanting may be challenging.Transplant apart after the last frost, 6-12” apart.  

Sowing Outdoors:Start 1-2 weeks before the last frost date, sow a few seeds every 3-6” apart.

Care: Water seedlings regularly until established. Amend soil with compost before transplanting. Harvest fresh cut or dried flowers- when they are almost open, hang upside down in a dark room with good airflow.
