A tender perennial best grown as an annual. Mature plants are 3 feet tall. The leaves are 200 to 300 times sweeter than sugar. It is native to South America where its name Kaa he-e means sweet herb. If grown as a house plant, it will go dormant in the winter. Pinch off flowers that develop, as the plant can die back after blossoming.  15 seeds

Starting Indoors/Outdoors:  Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Provide 70-75 degree soil temperature.Transplant 12" apart.

Soil Needs:  Average, moist but well drained

Uses:Culinary, ornamental
